About the Role:
We’re looking for a creative and passionate individual to help Fire It Up share its mission online. As a Social Media Content Creator, you’ll design posts, write captions, and develop engaging content that inspires, informs, and encourages our community. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create graphics, photos, and/or videos for social media platforms.
     
  • Write compelling captions that align with our mission and values.
     
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new campaign ideas.
     
  • Stay consistent with Fire It Up’s branding and voice.
     
  • Post or schedule content on platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
     

Qualifications:

  • Strong creativity and storytelling skills.
     
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms.
     
  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Photoshop, or similar) is a plus.
     
  • Passion for community impact and our mission.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — a few hours a week depending on campaigns and projects.

About the Role:
The State Impact Leader represents Fire It Up within their state, helping expand our mission of protecting, healing, and restoring lives. This role involves building connections, leading outreach efforts, and coordinating volunteers to bring lasting impact to local communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Fire It Up’s mission and values within your state.
     
  • Build partnerships with local organizations, churches, and community leaders.
     
  • Recruit, guide, and support volunteers in your region.
     
  • Coordinate state-level outreach and events.
     
  • Communicate regularly with Fire It Up leadership to align local impact with our overall mission.
     

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
     
  • Passion for serving communities and advancing Fire It Up’s mission.
     
  • Experience in outreach, ministry, or community leadership.
     
  • Must provide recommendations from church leadership and at least one additional leadership reference.
     
  • Ability to inspire and guide others with integrity and compassion.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — varies based on outreach and event schedules.

 About the Role:
The Records & Compliance Assistant helps ensure Fire It Up stays organized and in good standing with state and nonprofit requirements. This role focuses on keeping our records accurate, managing important paperwork, and supporting our team with compliance-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize important nonprofit records and documents.
     
  • Assist with filing required reports and registrations with the State of Tennessee.
     
  • Track deadlines for renewals, registrations, and other compliance filings.
     
  • Support the leadership team by providing documentation when needed.
     
  • Help ensure Fire It Up follows nonprofit best practices and legal guidelines.
     

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
     
  • Comfortable handling paperwork and deadlines.
     
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Google Drive, etc.).
     
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
     
  • Prior administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — a few hours per month, depending on filing deadlines.

 About the Role:
The Grant Writer plays a key role in helping Fire It Up secure funding to support our mission of protecting, healing, and restoring lives. This role involves researching grant opportunities, preparing proposals, and ensuring that applications clearly communicate our vision and impact to potential funders.

Responsibilities:

  • Research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
     
  • Write compelling proposals and letters of inquiry that align with Fire It Up’s mission.
     
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
     
  • Collaborate with leadership to gather program details, budgets, and impact stories.
     
  • Track submitted proposals and prepare follow-up reports for funders when required.
     
  • Assist in building long-term relationships with grant-making organizations.
     

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and communication skills.
     
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
     
  • Research skills to identify potential funding sources.
     
  • Familiarity with nonprofit work, fundraising, or social causes (preferred but not required).
     
  • Prior grant writing experience is a plus, but training and resources can be provided.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — typically 5–10 hours per week, depending on active opportunities.

 About the Role:
The Treasurer is a key member of Fire It Up’s leadership team, responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health. This role ensures that donations and funds are properly managed, records are accurate, and financial practices meet nonprofit standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records of income, expenses, and donations.
     
  • Work with leadership to create and monitor budgets.
     
  • Provide regular financial reports to the board or leadership team.
     
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal nonprofit financial requirements.
     
  • Oversee donor records and acknowledgments for tax purposes.
     
  • Help guide responsible financial decision-making as Fire It Up grows.
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management.
     
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
     
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial practices (a plus, but not required).
     
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle funds responsibly.
     
  • Commitment to Fire It Up’s mission and values.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — a few hours per month, with additional time during reporting or tax deadlines.

About the Role:
The Survivor Support Volunteer plays a vital role in walking alongside individuals who have experienced trauma, offering compassion, encouragement, and advocacy. Volunteers in this role serve as a bridge to resources, provide emotional support, and help ensure survivors know they are not alone on their journey toward healing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, encouragement, and advocacy for survivors in line with Fire It Up’s mission.
     
  • Assist survivors in connecting with local resources, services, and community support.
     
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
     
  • Work closely with Fire It Up leadership to ensure consistent, compassionate care.
     

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must provide recommendations from church leadership and at least three additional leadership/personal references.
     
  • Prior experience in victim advocacy, social services, or related fields is required.
     
  • Must pass federal, state, and fingerprint background checks.
     
  • All adults living in the volunteer’s household must also pass a background check.
     
  • Compassionate, trustworthy, and dedicated to survivor safety and dignity.
     
  • Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible — based on survivor needs and availability.

 About the Role:
Prayer Warriors are a vital part of Fire It Up, standing in faith and lifting up our mission, leadership, volunteers, and the people we serve. This role is focused on interceding for protection, healing, restoration, and direction as we carry out God’s work.

Responsibilities:

  • Pray regularly for Fire It Up’s mission, leadership, volunteers, and those we serve.
     
  • Intercede for specific prayer requests shared by the team.
     
  • Cover events, outreach, and programs in prayer before, during, and after.
     
  • Encourage and uplift others with words of faith, hope, and scripture.
     
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive requests and needs.
     
  • Participate in weekly prayer sessions with team leaders, board members, and other leadership personnel.
     

Qualifications:

  • A heart for prayer and intercession.
     
  • Committed to living a Christ-centered life.
     
  • Willingness to be consistent and faithful in prayer.
     
  • Ability to respect confidentiality and honor the needs of others.
     

Time Commitment: Flexible personal prayer time, plus attendance at scheduled weekly prayer sessions.
